You can't see what the camera is pointed at. You'll just see the screen. I
find it most useful to get the focusing aid(s) sharp. I used to use the LCD
display, but this doesn't appear to be as accurate. I think the display and
the screen are at different apparent distances. So... take off the lens,
point at a large bright light source (like the sky, clear or clouidy, doesn't
matter) and adjust the knob until the focusing aids look sharp.
