Hi Greg,
It's certainly the longest, probably the heaviest. The Vivitar macro I
tested is very heavy but much shorter. Perhaps the 85-250's being designed
for the tripod mount makes all the difference, but it works equally well
with the Bogen telephoto lens support. Also the 35-105 zoom is outstanding
with both cameras but is very different from the 85-250, of course. If the
85-250 is evidence, perhaps Olympus anticipated all the stuff we're
fretting over right now. If vibration is induced in part by
aperture-stopdown, perhaps these lenses have something special in that
department.
