It is both TTL and auto/manual with the proper dedicated module. The
module should have stops for the various auto settings (there may be as
many as three) and a stop for both "manual" and "TTL" (not two different
stops -- the same stop). Like the T20 and T32 flashes, in the manual
setting the Vivitar performs a full, manual dump in this mode with a
non-TTL camera, or TTL reading and quench with aperture-priority, OTF/TTL
cameras. Works great. The dedicated module should have "DM/O" for
dedication to Olympus. If you get one with "DM/C" or "DM/N" you can guess
what trouble you're in, although I suspect other modules may still work
with Olympus cameras in straight manual mode and perhaps in some cases in
auto modes.
