I found the dirty resistor board problem show up in another way in my 4T
(which I had not used for awhile). I had the camera set to MANUAL but the
shutter speeds and meter display were still in the AUTOMATIC mode.
After racking the Auto / MAN switch back & forth about 30 times, the camera
returned to manual.

I assume that the dielectric grease you speak of is the silicone type (clear
with a very slightly milky haze). What do you clean the resistor board with
(alcohol)? How much grease is enough, or perhaps, how much is too much? I
wonder if more grease is better than less, up to a point (don't want grease
oozing out of the asa mechanism down into the rest of the camera, running
off the mirror, etc.)
