There is something wrong, probably a dry asa dial circuit board. A
temporary fix would be to twist the comp dial back & forth between +-2.
This might clean the circuit by rubbing the brushes acrss the resistive
element.

I have a OM-2S with the same problem. The insidious thing about this
problem is that it will creep up on you. For example, sometimes it seems to
read only half or one stop high (therefore underexposing by that amount).
Unless you are aware of the problem you assume that the light changed a
little even though the rule of 16 tells you otherwise. After all, the meter
must be correct!
The camera has been through a full CLA within the last year. Any
suggestions on how to cure (at least temporarily) the problem, i.e. relube
the resistor card, etc.
