I use a Leki walking stick that I picked up in the local camping store. This
stick has adjustable stops for different lenghts and is very light. If you
screw the walnut head off of the stick, a 1/4 inch thread sticks out. I think
I can use at least one shutter speed slower and maybe two speeds slower with
this walking stick. I usually heft a tripod along on my trips though.
