On Wed, 07 Apr 1999 22:04:27 +0000, "John A. Lind" <jlind@xxxxxxxxxxx> jammed
all night, and by sunrise was overheard remarking:
> See the following camera being auctioned on E-Bay:
> Found it tonight; it wasn't there yesterday. Note the name on the camera,

> *carefully.* Wonder where it was made?
This is the type of fake SLR you find given away in contests ("guaranteed
WIN one of the following:..."), etc. If you look close, you'll notice the
"color viewfinder" is actually a window through the fake pentaprism. I
would bet "Taiwan" as country-of-origin.
Now, I haven't seen this specific one, but these show up at flea markets
fairly regularly, usually at $15-$20 (even that's a ripoff, you'd be
better off with a cheap P&S in all likelihood, except for possible gag
value -- at $15, not $70), sometimes called something like "Canyon" or
"Makon" or similar.
