Ken,
I appreciated your discussion of the OM-2, since that is one body I never
owned and had been thinking about one this past month, but decided to forego
the search as I've been buying quite a bit lately. Your experience certainly
shows the durability of the OM bodies, and you explained the battery drain
"problem" very nicely, and I couldn't agree with it more. How come people
bitch and moan when two little button batteries drain out, and barely complain
when a 3 or 6 volt lithium is found to be expired when they pick up their
modern marvel after leaving it in their closet for a few months? Can't figure
that one.
There was one little teeny item I wished you'd not referred to:
>Look at it this way--they are younger than many airliners you fly in. <
(I'm worried enough about Y2K- what happens if I'm on an airliner and the bug
strikes and we're unable to land? What am I going to do in a plane that's
stuck up there for a week or two until the bug is fixed?! :)
