Hello Joel

I quote: from a book I once bought in error when I didn't have my reading
glasses - it says "Olympus OM-2" by Michael Huber on the spine and I have an
OM-2n, but when I got it home it's exclusively for the OM2S Spot/Program -
"It (the Winder) is also useful for vibration-free micro photography or for
duplicating."

It may be worth a couple of test frames, one with cable release and one with
r/c to feel more secure about it, or you could try the comparison indoors
with an empty camera and a mirror tile balanced on the accessory shoe
reflecting a light source onto the ceiling or wall. Any vibration should
show up in the movements of the reflection. You'd have to select a 1 sec for
you to be able to separate any vibration caused by the shutter from that
caused by the film transport.

Keith
