Hey! I didn't start this "fight"! Olympus did, and they did it twice. The
first time when the OM-10 was introduced. This camera was set aside in the
SIF, in an appendix; it was not integrated in the OM System. In the 80's
they corrected this, and all amateur bodies they had (OM-10,OM-20,OM-30 and
OM-40) were integrated in the Body Group of the OM System.
But when the OM-707 and OM-101 were released, they did it again! They even
created a "Phantom System" by putting both bodies and the AF/PF lenses
behind a tab that was labeled "Autofocus Power Focus SLR System", with their
own System Groups!
I've added today a page to my site that deals with the way Olympus organized
their SIF over the years, with the ambiguous way the amateur bodies were
placed in or near the OM System and with the way my own Unofficial SIF deals
or shall deal with it (basically, I'll integrate everything, *including* the
OM-2000 as you may have noticed):

About the OM-2000: I'm sure it is a very capable camera, that can take good
pictures if you can. But it has very little connections with (the rest of)
the OM System. Part of the OM System or not, It is not a true System Camera,
and it certainly is not an OM-1!
P.S. I've also added the first lens to the SIF: the Zuiko 8mm/F2.8 fisheye.
Have a peek and you'll know to expect from this part of the SIF.
