Center weight is no good either, unless you want the center to be the most
"properly" exposed part of the scene.
The OM 2 went from center to overall average metering (if I understand it
correctly).
In theory, the overall average would be more accurate.
I don't know the weight of an OM3 or 4 averaging meter. (no, not grams) :-)
Why would a center weighted meter know the color of the barn?
If the meters only have a "hope" of getting the correct exposure, why
use them at all?
