I refuse to get into an adversarial position with this wonderful
company, whose products have provided me and so many others with
endless moments of joy and revelation. No one blinks when their
20k car dies in 5-10 years. It is ridiculous, in my humble opinion,
to expect 30 years out of a $300-1500 item. I can understand the
agony of being orphaned, but not the idea of a class action suit
against our beloved Olympus. I'm not going there.
The way I feel about this, if you're so afraid of "being left holding
the bag", n-o-w is the time to sell out & go buy a wunderbrick. Surely
they'll have parts for it fifteen+ years down the road...
