No I will not hold my breath.
It is widely known that the OM system is one of the best quality
photographic
systems now or ever.
It is the wow appeal that is lacking. (read consumer appeal)
Oly would never make an "improved" OM and charge less, no matter how
inexpensive they could manufacture it for.
I just hope that enough photographers appreciate the OM's so they sell
enough to keep the line alive.
I do wonder how much new OM stuff is sold each year.
