Hi Gary, I don't have a copy of the OM Lens Handbook, so I was going from memory. But, even the first 85F2.0 was a little radical--it was the first small (1.8 or less) medium tele to use floating elements! Also, I thought both OM designs were more "Sonnar" like (Zeiss 85F2.8/Canon 85F1.8FD) than gaussian(Canon 85F1.8SSC)?
