Looking at my mounts, the good one has three screws placed nearly 120
degrees apart around the mount. And a fourth screw 180 degrees from one of
the other screws. My bad mount (bad mount, naughty mount) does not have
these 3 screws equally spaced. The offending screw is the one near the DOF
preview button.
The good mount is OL Japan, bad mount Adaptall 2 For Olympus OM Japan.
The DOF preview button is moved around along with the offending screw on the
good mount. I had never considered this until someone posted it about the
300mm f2.8.
