I don't know what metering system the astronauts used, (Leicas and 'blads I
imagine) but the space suits may be burning out because the black as coal sky
influenced the meter. But I do agree with you that the surface, in reality,
isn't as light as you might think. I should have said " a close approximation
of the sunny 16 rule."
