     hi Warren,

       I found your post somewhat of interest. There is a core group of our
    pro customers who have made it an annual event to go to Mt.Tam (Tamalpais)
    in Marin Co. (north of Golden Gate Bridge, Ca) to photograph the sunrise
    every New Year's Day. I was invited this year, but it was at a party 2 
    nights earlier and so it didn't fit my plans. but maybe for NYD 2000 :)
