Although one does get used to making a template fax and sending it in every
so often... ;-) It is true about the certain amount, tho. I got a
supplementary camera insurance which has worked _pretty well_. My 4 had an
electrical breakdown a few years ago, and I had it all fixed (saying "a
fellow student had dropped it"...). Unfortunately, I will _not_ get my 4
fixed another time, if the cause of damage was similar. And this is
supposed to be the best camera insurance in Norway..... Also, when my asa
dial broke down last year, I got that repair reimbursed but not the broken
flash circuit (although I do believe the repairmen messed up, cos the flash
was working perfectly until I had it repaired - even after the asa dial
quit on me. Problem is proving it...)

My policy states the value of camera as current price (if it`s still being
manufactured) or closest, currently-produced camera. So my 4 is insured for
$2000 (body only) and my 1 (w/50/1.8, of course!!!) for $450. Both seem
pretty reasonable to me....
