I like to think of myself as ready to lead the great Jihad against
equipment fetishism, holding the holy banner of "Equipment is
Irrelevant. You will be Creative", but I must confess, the Sin of
Lust gnaws at me.
My way of combating it is to only buy stuff when it's an absolute
bargain---hence my $60 zuiko and this $4 lens, but not the $120 Zuiko
100/2.8 whose siren song still haunts my nights....
(BTW, any aussies interested in that 100? I can let you know where it
is (or grab it for you)).
