Hi Yvan, Hi Buddy,
I just swallowed my words (gulp). Yes Oly did (does?) make right-angle
microscope adapters. In addition to those you mentioned there is one for the
SZH-series of stereo zoom microscopes. In the SZH system sheet it's 'called'
SZH-PT35 and consists of a cream-coloured, block-shaped phototube that has a bit
of optics in it, so you don't need an additional photo-eyepiece. On the one end
it provides a locking screw that tightens into the PM-CAMS (OM-bayonett-adapter)
and on the other end the attachment flange for the microscope protrudes at a
right angle.
The Oly microscope systems are very confusing indeed. There have been an aweful
lot of different models and they all came and come with their own paraphenalia
of attachments. So the letter coding had to be very extensive as well, sometimes
to the point of being funny: PM-LSD, SZH-ILL etc.
Hope this helps,
Soenke, Hamburg
