|Although that story isn't about me, I did have that happen! A couple of years
|ago our house got broken into and amongst the items stolen were my OM-1n and
|OM-2n bodies and various lenses. The insurance company happily replaced
|the bodies with an OM-3Ti and OM-4Ti. My 50/1.4 also turned into a 50/1.2.
|Makes me wish I had stocked up on a few other lenses! They did however
|balk at my suggestion of replacing the 35-70/4 with the 35-80/2.8 :-)
I greatly admire your spunk for raising the suggestion! :-) I have
REALLY got to have some of my gear swiped! I wonder if they would
give me a 50/2 for a stolen 50/1.8? How about a 350/2.8 for a
300/4.5? A 35-80/2.8 for a Vivitar Series I 35-85/2.8? :-)
