If the OM-2n works like my OM-2 in this respect, then it shouldn't. The two
reasons I know for this to happen would be (a) batteries empty and (b) winding
on while the shutter is open.

Again, assuming the 2 and 2n being similar, the procedure is to set the time to
'B' while keeping the little button (hidden on the bottom of the lens-mount)
pressed -> Reset position.
Do not use force! It should come down all by itself.
