For a rundown on the history of the company formerly known as Leitz ( couldn't
resist! ), please see the web page given at the bottom of the screen.
Presently, Leica Camera is a publically owned company that make the
Leica cameras, lenses and accesories ( M rangefinder, R SLR, and P&S cameras)
as well as binoculars and some very nice projectors! They also recently
acquired
MINOX -- the German camera company so famous for those "Spy" cameras we see
in movies.
