Hi
My name is Charlie Loeven and I am new here. I read the posts concerning
the OM4TI meter reading and I don't get the controversy. I just went outside
to confirm MY logic on this.
I Got a reading of 1/250 and then moved my eye right up to the viewfinder
very tightly and shaded the viewfinder with my cupped hand [an eye cup would
do]. I got a reading of 1/125.
This is what I expected with my OM2. This is also what I take into
consideration with my OM1. If my camera remembered a reading I would hope
it was the one with no light leak. I am sure this is how Olympus would
design a system. Why remember a wrong reading? There are other
considerations that will change the reading also, such as OTF and OT
curtain, mirror up, etc...
I hope this is in line with what was being addressed.
Regards
Charlie
