I have some very fine Indian lungis (long length of cloth which you wrap 
around your nether regions to keep cool but decent) which clean my 
spectacles very well.  The cotton is very fine and soft.  I bought them 
when I lived in India (was born in Bombay).  They are wonderful, 
multi-purpose garments and they clean lenses!
