John Austin <j_austin@xxxxxxxxxxx> wondered:
>... how many list members besides myself use Olympus
>equipment exclusively?...
Hi John,
My first Olympus was a Trip 35, further I gave it to my mother when she
traveled. When I saw the OM1 (at this time the M1) at the Photokina, I was
immediately in love with it: light and quiet, with a bright viewfinder and
so many treasures I start with it some time later when I can afford it with
some lenses (unfortunately my 50 f/1.8 and 100 f/4 were stolen and the 100
still miss me? Further I buy an OM2 and it was the time for my Pentaxes and
Fujicas to go in a drawer. I've got an OM4 Ti and I love it's exposure
system last year it falls down and cost me a lot to have repaired but when
you love?
I always have a camera with me before it was a Rollei 35, a really nice
object, still there but at rest as I've replace it by an XA and further by
a Mju and now a Mju Zoom. As some other of the list I'm a fan of the
IS3000, you know the same which save Ken in some critical situations?
Now all my pictures (still of course) are made with "Olies" except a Rollei
6x6, a collector but I take some pictures with it and a Nikonos: my OM are
too precious to go too near of salted water
regards
marc
