knows how it is rated in comparison to the Zuiko 500/8? Mirror lenses may have
their drawbacks, but I know I´ve taken pictures with this lens that would have
been impossible with my 300/4.5. How can you shoot handheld at 600 mm without
going to mirror lenses? My reason for buying the Sigma lens instead of the
Zuiko 500/8 (so far my only betrayal) was of course the money and the extra
100 mm.

In Nov. 1981 MP, the Sigma 600mm was reviewed. Resolution at f 8 was
excellent/50 and excellent/40 for center and corner. Contrast was low/37% and
medium/29 0.000000or center and corner. The Zuiko is reviewed at the L. Hawkins
page.
Also of interest is the Vivitar pair of solid cadiotropic lens at 450mm and
600mm. They are short squat lenses. I don't know how they test out, however.
