Recently people have posted that the lenses for the IS series of cameras are
high quality, designed for the full focal length of the IS series. I had to
us an IS-3000 yesterday, and noticed that "macro" was written on the lens
between 35 and 100mm. So are these lenses not corrected for 180mm?
Just on the IS-3000 note, it's a shame you can't use spot metering with the
flash (well I couldn't). Is there a technical reason for this? Limited
computing power?
It looks like a great camera, but after an OM-1 and 2SP, I was overwhelmed.
For those interested, I did my karate black belt grading yesterday. I still
hurt.
