I don't know the Hoya lens, but since this factory is reputable the
lens will be OK, I guess...
One of the Olympus macro converters for the IS-series cameras is the
so called A-life size macro H.Q. converter. 49mm thread (for IS1/2).
This achromatic composite lens has almost 8 diopters power (f=13cm).
Although designed for the IS-es it works also great with all OM-lenses
I have tried it on.
