Hi Chris.
I didn't buy a Camedia as yet!!! Don't ban me from the list just for
dreaming of the possession of a Camedia... Seriously: I will certainly
wait until the price has dropped further. Olympus cannot afford to
increase the price of these machines, on the contrary - I am pretty
sure that in 1 year from now the Camedia 1400L will have dropped at
least 50 percent in price.
Last week I bought an Olympus P-150 printer (not for myself!! - I
won't risk even a temporary ban from here ;-) for the equivalent of
$150, brandnew and in the box with all accessories. At the same time
it is still advertised in AP for $550 (in UK shops, I must admit). Of
course the price drop was caused by the new P-300 appearing on the
market. Prices of digital camera equipment are almost as volatile as
those of computer equipment, I think.
About the ES10: Is there any reason (apart from Oly-addiction) to
think that this one is better than one of the other slide/neg
scanners? Since all connections go through your computer now, I don't
think compatibility is an issue here.
Enjoy the long Easter weekend!
Frank.
