I would start out with brand-new batteries if I were you, just in case ( in
addition to carrying a spare set). The only problem I ever had with my
OM4T's in cold weather was the batteries dying. Of course, I think at the
time the problem was the lithium battery I was using, but I have also had the
camera lock up in cold weather with silver oxide batteries that were not
fresh.
