While this may have been a sound engineering approach, IMHO this half
way up feature was far from foolproof, and must have caused endless
grief to OLY service depts. I've heard numerous "horror stories" of
lay OM users who'd forced their half-up mirrors up or down thereby
damaging their OM-10/G/F.
A cardinal sin of most engineers I know is that they invariably
overestimate the intelligence of an end-user. :-)
