I agree that this is not on - for one thing this is an international news
group and pricing varies enormously around the world. You may be aware that
I have given example of the prices we have to pay for Olympus gear in the
UK - much higher than in the US even before 17.5% VAT is added. A few years
ago I bought a new OM4T in New York (about $700) for less than half the
price in the UK.
I recently posted information of a T10 ring flash and T Power control I was
selling as I ended up with two. I did not expect anyone from the US to buy
at that price but when I advertised it in the UK I had 9 telephone calls in
the next 5 days and sold it at price to the first.
Another reason I am not happy with it is that it is rather rude to do it in
a public newsgroup - and if your intentions are honorable why not e-mail
seller privately?
