When I read this post I felt sick in the stomach, imagining what it would
feel like if it was my own gear.
My advice
1. Cry
2. Have it looked at by a good camera technician asap (or sooner)
3. Cry again
3. Dust off your camera eqt insurance policy and give them a call.......
5. Cry again (this is optional - depends on who you are insured with)
I really hope it isn't as serious as it sounds, but I think the days of
dunking a saltwater drowned camera in a bucket of fresh water until it can
be looked at by a pro are gone. I think the electronics etc in modern
cameras don't like the wet stuff whether it is fresh or salt....
The OM-4Ti is pretty well sealed with O-rings against spray etc (we have
all read the "Torture Test" article), but I don't know about complete
immersion.
Hope your OM -4Ti can be ressucitated.
