I'm pretty sure we are not talking about the same Nikkor lens design
(28mm F/3.5).The one in the cabinet at work is really,really old and I
am serious about how bad this lens is.I am sure yours is a much better
lens.Most(not all) of the other Nikkors of that era are still quite good
compared to new lenses and I still do use them and nobody complains
about their photos taken with them.
