My IS3 was bought in the US (through a rec.photo.marketplace ad). It
actually is a IS3DLX, but I never use the date/time stamp.
About getting outdated: I was told by a local Olympus dealer that the
IS3 is already out of production. So are the converters (and that is
the reason why I was anxious to get one). Supposedly Olympus would
only keep selling the IS100/200 line for a few years longer. It is far
more popular than the 3(000) ever has been. And for the rest:
Centurion and Digital. Even the Camedia 1400-L (European name, it is
certainly named differently in the US) has the same looks, from the
outside.
