Well thanks for all the ideas. I'm sorry to be a bit late responding but
my ISP has been unreliable :(
I have has no further sightings of the *alien*japanese*bugs in my camera
and now that I've calmed down a bit I'm thinking that I'll wait and see.
Garth's idea of throwing money at it doesn't appeal as the body is not
worth that much, although I doubt that I'll find such an un-worn one again.
That's probably the problem, I think it must have spent many years in a
drawer not being used.
Hank's formaldehyde scares me, but if I see the beastie again I'll
certainly try the vacuum cleaner on it. The freezer sounds a good bet if
the problem gets worse, especially as I don't know where to get CO2 other
than from a fire extinguisher. I'll let you know if there's a development.
