Well, Thursday night, somebody evidently needed my possessions more than I
did. My garage got broken into and a few power tools were taken along with
a bag containing a bunch of flash equipment (studio flash, 285HV, battery
pack, flash meter, etc.). They also broke into the minivan inside the
garage and found the Olympus IS-1 hidden under the seat.
So anyway, I am strictly an OM guy again. If the IS-1 isn't found pretty
quickly and the insurance company gets everything taken care of in a timely
fashion I will have a G40 flash for sale. Nice unit, too bad it won't work
with the OM's.
I got off pretty cheap. I only lost about $1100 worth of stuff. One of my
neighbors got about $3-4000 taken. What really honks me off though is that
they took $10 in garbage stickers!
As of Saturday both the house and garage now have an alarm system
installed! Also thinking about a Doberman...
I have to scare up some more flash equipment for a wedding I'm shooting at
the end of the month.
At least they left the Bogen Tripods and bicycles.
