Yo y'all,
just got lucky last week and picked up an OM-2 (no n), with a sligthtly
cracked Shoe 3 (but I've never seen a used one that didn't have cracks, and
it never seems to keep them from functioning - same goes for this one), from
my local photo dealer for DM 248.- (about $ 136.- at the present exchange
rate). I cleaned it and shot a few test rolls and it seems to work just
fine, so it looks like I got myself a real good deal (one minor bother is
that - being used to it from my 2n, 10, and PC - I found myself looking for
the blinking flash indicator light in the viewfinder confirming a good flash
exposure at first).
Now theres's one more thing to do: the leatherette body coverings are coming
loose at the edges and need some re-gluing. I seem to remember reading here
that Pliobond or Hobscos Goo are best for this job - problem is that I can't
find those over here. They may use different brand names in Europe or not be
available at all. So my question is: can anybody here point me towards a
similar brand of glue or cement which would be available on this side of the
great pond - preferably in Germany?
Any hints will be appreciated.
MtFbwy,
Volkhart
