The OM5 should be the flagship OM. It should be auto-focus, auto-wind, auto
everything, to compete with the competition. Its price should be at the top
of the heap and replace the OM3 as priciest OM.
The OM4Ti price should drop. This is the camera that should contain all the
features we wished for. Aluminum should replace the Ti body material for
even a greater reduction in price....No Plastic.
The OM3 should drop down to this position as well the price.
The OM2000 should be here if at all. I still dont like the idea of a
non-Olympus Olympus being in the line-up, but lets see what the market says.
I guess the bottom line is that Olympus must compete with the big three to
stay in the 35mm SLR market and not just build a "wish camera" for the
hand-full of members of this list.
Oh btw, I'm still trying to figure how much an OM1,n or 2,n would cost on
todays market. I bet we would be surprised and Oly would not be able to
build and sell them for under $500-$700. I guess they CANT build em like
they used to.
