Hi Ken,

Visiting Melbourne?

Yes! My daughter is living there.

I still have kin in Melbourne though I moved from Melbourne
back to Perth again end of 2022. Originally we all started in
Kalgoorlie WA, including my daughters.

I'll be flying into Sydney on January 26, flying out on February 10.
I'll drive the coastal route to get to Melbourne (or maybe the return
trip going that way). I'll be restricting my travels to the the
Melbourne region, maybe Adelaide. But no massive "I need to drive
10,000,000 miles to see everything in one weak" kind of nonsense.

Thats a 'weak' excuse :)

I like the drive from Melbourne to Perth or the other way round,
good time of year to do it. hot (40C+) days, cold nights (-3C- not
unusual in Western Australia's Caiguna). One of my favourite stops
in South Australia <http://zone-10.com/tope2/main.php?g2_itemId=25908>
Taken with Olympus E-M1 Mark II.

Never liked the Melbourne to Canberra or Sydney drive.

Always make sure you have plenty of fresh water. Never got
around to putting my Victoria (Australia) coastal photos up.

I am hoping to get a club gig or two DJing, but I'm trying to remind
myself that this is a vacation and I need to focus on my other passion
- photography.

You shouldnt have time for gig's if your doing it right :)

So much to see in Victoria, from the coast to the out of season
ski resorts outside of any major events. You might have to stay longer..

My daughter is in an apartment share with a bunch of other young
single females, so I am looking for reasonably affordable
accommodations in the area. Otherwise I can always buy a tent and live
out of the car for a few days. :)

Out of the city but not in the city, too many people will think your
one of the homeless mass that are currently doing that.
Because I normally travelled with by dog, we use to camp in the
car along the way, easy when the seats are comfortable. Main pet
friendly motel stop was Eucla for a shower.

Off again next week from Perth WA but only to Kambalda WA
to spend time with my daughter.

Cheers
