A classic bubbler is the Meyer Optik Goerlitz Trioplan 100mm f/2.8 which is a
Cooke triplet. A few years back they could be had for lunch money but are now
a cult classic and now it is almost worth buying the new version. But then it
is not vintage. The only point I was making that a lens with very few elements
can be bubblicious and theoretically should be cheap.
