OK, maybe more software related.
Background: I photograph my wife's art and we print out copies for
sale. Of course she also sells the originals. Mostly she sells 11x14's.
So a problem arises when the art aspect ratio doesn't match the paper.
Yeah I could print 11x17's but it's way easier to standardize on one
size. A couple of her pictures are a bit too wide to look good on
11x14. The composition however would allow for a little bit of vertical
stretching to better fit the paper. Printer drivers don't really work.
I am trying Viewpoint but it is more focused on lens corrections. I end
up with too much distortion. I haven't be able to figure out how to do
a graduated vertical stretch ideally concentrating the stretching in
the sky and water areas and leave the subject alone. This would be
minimal, maybe 1/2" top/bottom.
So can any of you give me a little guidance? I use DxO, Affinity,
Faststone mostly. I have an old version of Lightroom..v5?? but haven't
really used it.
