Finally got a process a few images from La Palma but the most labor-intensive
ones to go.
Different: Caught Marnie unawares.

That was in Santa Cruz del La Palma--returning a tripod, I think.
Actually, what is different is Marnie's very first star trail shot.

There were some low clouds and might be able to extend the star trails after
removing the clouds but not sure whether it will improve the image. The
software is available to attempt to do so. Should I???
We scoped out the shot during the day. The windmill is part of the Gofio
museum. Gofio is some type of Canarian flour made from roasted grains. The
manager at the museum informed us it is an acquired taste.

She is from Columbia and is married to an astrophysicist on La Palma. Throw a
stone on Longwood Avenue in Boston and you will likely hit an endocrinologist
but on La Palma an
astrophysicist.

When we arrived at the Las Tricias at 1AM to start shooting, I was looking for
Polaris but Marnie spotted it before I did. Also on the other side of the mill
there was even this!

We waited in the car for an hour for the star trail shot to finish, after I
light painted the windmill for her. By then the Milky Way had risen enough and
we went to the other side of the windmill to attempt a couple shots. I don't
know if they came our because of the clouds. Navigating switchbacks in pitch
black conditions was not easy feat especially up on the high plateau on Roque
de los Muchachos where the telescopes are located. We'll see if any shots came
out. They are a bear to process.
