I was extreme cutting edge with DAWs (worked for the manufactures)
back in the '90s. I was an early adopter of the Yamaha digital mixers
and have the AW4416 and now an LS9 coming. I was never really into
"real" instruments, but have always been a midi geek. However, during
the raising kids years, my focus was elsewhere and was entirely
supportive of my wife's activities. The stuff I had (and what remained
after divorce) was so minimal that it really was pretty much a
greenfield buildup. So, I kinda went on a buying spree. Zoom H5, Shure
Beta 57A, Akai MPC Studio2, MPK225, Force, APC40Mk2, Reaper, and
Ableton Suite. And a bunch of other stuff... While a lot of the stuff
is computer-based, the Akai Force is my ultimate beast, as it's pretty
much the MPC and Ableton in a stand-alone, self-contained unit.

I FINALLY got my name change done at work! That took an act of congress...

That's what was used for this picture.
