Today was the second day of our ski trip to Sierra Nevada, except that the
skiing was cancelled—the slopes were closed due to extremely high winds in the
mountains. So we drove to Granada and took a walk in the city. Granada is one
of Spain’s most important places. It was the capital of Muslim Spain in the
Middle Ages and the last major city to be surrendered by the Moors during the
Reconquista in the late 15th century. Today is just a nice university city with
a lot of history.
Part of that history is the cathedral, with a piece of Marxist graffiti on its
wall:

The brief visit confirmed my love of Andalusia.
Cheers,
