Well, the exif is now fixed. I didn't have a snowball's chance of figuring out
what Wayne was up to but did get out some very dusty references on batch files.
To be honest I don't think I have written one since Marnie worked on the
original chapters of a bankruptcy book with a judge ---and that was on
floppies--the real floppy style 51/4" ones. I think the bat files uploaded to
the floppy to transfer to take to work or download to her work or home pc.
It is still powerful, elegant, foolproof once set up but I no longer remember
quite how to implement that. I remember sweating setting up device drivers and
excluding memory for them too. The transplant worked fine even if not as
elegant a solution, but didn't think of that until I read Moose's response.

The lens info is now OK if look at the image info page.
All is well in exif land and happy new year to all, Mike
