I had a photo friend on another list, which Jim knows well, who always referred
to systems. And, with so much trial and error in my backpack, I finally came to
the same conclusion after 50 odd years of photography.
SYSTEMS, be they FF, LF, MFT, or else are systems and deliver their best as
systems. That’s probably why I quit buying out of market tamron, solligor,
artisan, etc lenses so long ago, and still maintain a coherent stabble of gear
that fits together.
