One might interpret that terse comment as implying quantum systems become
non-sensical at macro levels. Larger and larger systems have been
successfully become quantum intangled and the size transition from quantum
mechanics to classical physics is unclear. Roger Penrose, a mathematical
physicist, has hypothesized that wavefunction collapse is a consequence of the
force of gravity, so systems above a certain mass should never show quantum
behavior. The limit could be a mg or the size of the earth.
In any event, nothingness should be simplified to the smallest scales and is
thus a quantum concept, IMO. Nothing does not exist.
