Thanks all for your replies. I retried the experiment with a body cap (no
pinhole) and the shutter closed after 3 min +/- a few seconds. This
behaviour is consistent regardless of ISO set. I seem to recall the OM-2
would keep the shutter open almost indefinitely but the OM-2N would always
close it at approx. 4 min. I presume my OM-4Ti is off spec - who would have
thought after 20+years !
